Orders for Konecranes

Scotland-based crane manufacturer, Konecranes UK, has won an order worth more than £100,000 (US$185,000) to supply a 30 tonne industrial crane to ThyssenKrupp Stainless for its new warehouse.

The 27 m span crane will have a Konecranes SM Spacemaker winch and trolley designed to lift steel coils. Included will be inverter control for the hoist, travel and traverse motions, Remox radio control, condition monitoring, long travel conductors, girder and trolley platforms, festoon cables and duplicate pendant controls.

Due for completion this month is a £160,000 ($296,000) order for 10 tonne and 40 tonne capacity CXTD cranes to power hire supplier Aggreko. The 40 tonner will be a Goliath model with 25 m span and the 10 tonner is a standard design overhead travelling crane.

Both will have Remox radio controls and variable speed inverter driven main motions, girder and trolley platforms. ControlPro condition monitoring will be fitted on each hoist, as will festoon cross cabling, hoist limit switches and motion limit switches on all crane motions.
