Paris previwe

25 April 2008

The Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre will once again be the venue for the triennial Intermat construction trade show from 24 to 29 April 2006. Organisers confidently forecast that this year's event will be the largest Intermat ever, with 350,000 m2 of exhibition space, 330,000 m2 of which had been booked at the time of writing at the end of January. At the same time lifting and handling equipment sector exhibitors accounted for 15% of the booked space, up 3% on the previous show.

With exhibitors from 40 countries, Intermat 2006 will have a real international flavour. Given the much more buoyant nature of the construction industry, the mood around the show ground should be much more upbeat than was the case for the 2003 event, held during a low point in the industry's economic cycle and during a transport strike by local workers.

A special focus on accident prevention and health and safety on site will see a series of special events and discussions held alongside the numerous exhibits from the leading equipment suppliers. These will include demonstrations and talks on safety relating to the new EU Working at Height Directive, mechanisation on small and medium sized work sites, changing working methods, and on attracting more females into the industry.

We will be present under KHL Group, publisher of IC and sister publications Access International, American Cranes & Transport, Construction Europe, International Construction, International Rental News, International Construction China and Demolition & Recycling International. Our stand number is 6 D 002 and we hope that you get a chance to stop by.
