Platform Basket rail sector launch

Italy-based manufacturer Platform Basket has launched a new rail maintenance access platform.

Designed to make maintenance easier, the RR9/200 has a maximum working height of 9.5m, an outreach of 4.7m and features a two-person basket.

The compact model, which is also suitable for civil works, can be transported on a standard towable trailer and includes a radio control unit with a diagnostics display.

It is also equipped with railway transmission, which can be operated by independent hub gears and negative brakes to meet the safety requirements of railway environments.

Platform Basket said an electric version powered by a lithium ion battery and power pack would also soon be available.
