Eight Potain tower cranes are at work on a nine million square foot Tampa development. It will nearly double the number of housing units in the neighbourhood

The Potain tower cranes on location include three MD 485 B models, two MR 418s, two MR 605 Bs, an MDT 269 and a Manitowoc 2250 crawler crane.

The cranes for the Water Street Tampa project were provided by Maxim Crane Works, which owns the largest Potain rental fleet in North America, operating nearly 300 units from the manufacturer.

“Our tower cranes have overcome tight quarters and work at different heights concurrently moving concrete, rebar and precast panels at a steady pace,” said Dustin Carmack, regional operations manager, Maxim Crane Works. “These cranes are adaptable to urban settings and have been at the site for over a year and have shown great performance during this time.”
