UK utilities and pipeline rental company PSS Hire – which is owned by A-Plant – has acquired Euremica, which specialises in the hire, sale and recalibration of testing, measurement and process control instrumentation.

Euremica operates from a location in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, has been rebranded as PSS Euremica. It offers a wide range of equipment used in the flow (air and water), electronic, pressure, mechanical, gas detection, sound, temperature and force markets and sectors.

PSS Hire director Mark Hamilton said there were clear synergies between the two companies in terms of products on offer and sectors served, such as the gas distribution sector.

“This means we can offer customers additional services and equipment, plus we have benefited from the vast expertise of Euremica’s workforce. Like PSS Hire, Euremica also offers services such as the repair and calibration of equipment, so our technical capabilities are enhanced significantly across these new product sectors,” Mr Hamilton said.

PSS Euremica products can be rented through all PSS Hire Service Centres.

PSS Hire is part of A-Plant’s Specialist Products division, which comprises of A-Plant Accommodation, FLG Services, Eve, GB Access, Leada Acrow and PSS Hire. A-Plant is owned by Ashtead.
