UK safety equipment manufacturer Pyroban has launched an explosion prevention system for mobile equipment.

The Gascheka Duo system uses infrared and pellistor gas sensing heads to alert an operator of a potentially explosive situation. The system automatically shuts down any vehicle it is fitted to on detection of a flammable gas or vapour.

The Gascheka Duo can be fitted to any diesel, LPG or electric vehicle. The system gives the vehicle operator a warning if it detects a gas or vapour at just 10% LEL (propane in air) and is designed to automatically shut down the equipment at 25% LEL.

Gascheka Duo can be fitted to all types of equipment including vans, forklifts, cranes and access platforms operating within areas requiring enhanced levels of safety protection, such as refineries, chemical and petrochemical operations, aerosol storage, distilleries and a wide range of manufacturing and logistics operations.
