Ramirent acquires Nordic weather shelter business

05 June 2014

European rental company Ramirent has signed an agreement with NSS Group to acquire its weather shelter and scaffolding division Dry Construction Concept (DCC).

The DCC division provides weather shelter solutions and scaffolding in Sweden, Finland and Denmark. It has annual sales of around €16 million and employs 120 people.

Ramirent said DCC’s customer base consisted of large and mid-sized construction companies as well as industrial builders. It said key customers included contractors JM, Fortum, Skanska and Vattenfall.

Ramirent said the combined companies would help strengthen customer relations further, and was in line with its More Than Machines strategy – delivering value-added services and know-how.

Ramirent CEO Magnus Rosén said the deal fortified the company’s position as a solution provider in all Nordic countries, and differentiated it as a one-stop-shop also in weather shelter solutions.

“There are many operational synergies between the two companies and together we can take increased responsibility for co-ordination of scaffolding, access platforms, hoists and other services on site and provide customers with safe products and solutions within weather shelters,” he added.
