Ramirent adds Rakennus-Otava's machinery

Ramirent has acquired the machinery department of a subsidiary of Lemminkäinen in Finland

The Lemminkäinen subsidiary Rakennus-Otava Oy has outsourced its machinery and equipment operation to and signed a rental agreement for five years with Ramirent Finland Oy.

Kari Aulasmaa, senior vice president at Ramirent for Finland and Europe East said, "Acquiring customers' machinery operation is an important part of our strategy. We are very happy to get the opportunity to strengthen and develop our co-operation with Rakennus-Otava Oy and Lemminkäinen Group."

Founded in 1987, Rakennus-Otava Oy, is a Finnish construction company that has been part of the Lemminkäinen Group since 1990. Rakennus-Otava Oy operates in the Jyväskylä area as well as in the northern and central parts of Finland. Rakennus-Otava is active in new construction as well as renovation work of residential and business premises as well as industrial production sites. In 2008, Rakennus-Otava had annual sales of EUR 40 million.
