Recycling Concrete Demolition Waste Can Offer Good Profits But Securing the top price for material is dependant on separating the steel reinforcing bars from the concrete. Successful separation means that the concrete can be sold on to construction companies and the rebar can also be sold off to scrap metal merchants.

Northern Ireland-based Eastwood Demolition has recently acquired an Extec C-12 jaw crusher to help it do just that. According to Eastwood managing director John Eastwood, the C-12's hydraulic jaw adjustment and reverse crushing action has helped to significantly improve rebar removal and reduce downtime.
