US-based power generator rental company, Red-D-Arc Welderentals, part of Airgas, has ordered 37 generators worth £850000 (US$1.4 million) with UK-based SDMO Energy, the UK subsidiary of SDMO Industries.

Red-D-Arc Welderentals has purchased 17 RC110C3, 100 kVA and four R66C3, 60 kVA Rental Compact sets for use in its UK and mainland Europe operations.

The rental firm has also bought ten 100 kVA and six 250 kVA sets for use in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.

All the generators have been built to ‘petro-chem’ specification, which includes dual frequency switching, spark arrester kits and an air shut-off valve. The units have been fitted onto four-wheeled trailers.

Red-D-Arc’s UK country manager Craig Parkes said, "We chose the SDMO sets principally because of their excellent build quality combined with their environmental credentials, and having peace of mind knowing that all our sets will be backed up by their worldwide service centres, helping to ensure continuity of service to our clients.”
