RSC names new operations head

Phillip Hobson is now the senior vice president, operations - a new role within RSC Equipment Rental in the US. He was just previously senior vice president, corporate operations. Mr Hobson is responsible for managing the field performance for the Western division of the organization.

In a related move, RSC has given David Ledlow responsibility for the Eastern division. Mr Ledlow was just previously senior vice president, operations for the Western division. He led the Eastern operations from 1996 - 2000 and all field operations during the first five months of 2009.

"We are very pleased to have Phil accept this critical role within the company," said Erik Olsson, president and CEO. "Phil has a demonstrated track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and leading innovation that has made a lasting, positive impact on the way we do business."

Based in Scottsdale, RSC Equipment Rental, Inc operates 457 rental locations across 40 states in the United States and in three Canadian provinces.
