SAIA annual event to be held online

SAIA annual convention

The Scaffold & Access Industry Association will hold its Annual Convention & Exposition, Sept. 14-16, virtually this year. Citing the ongoing rise of Covid-19 cases in Arizona, where the event was previously going to be held in-person, the SAIA said its number one priority is the safety of its membership.

“Due to Covid-19, our Annual Convention will move from an in-person event to a virtual platform via Zoom Conference,” SAIA said in an e-mail. “The Governor of Arizona has put a limit on gatherings, not allowing anything over 50 people for the next 30 days, which could be extended.”

The SAIA said the host hotel has also been closed for an extended period of time and is not set to reopen until Sept. 1.

The SAIA will instead offer exhibitors a virtual product demo, where dedicated time will be allotted for exhibitors to showcase their products and services to a targeted audience. The product demo will be held Monday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The schedule is as follows:
