Sandvik Mining and Construction is establishing a global product development centre for screens and feeders in Ballygawley, Northern Ireland. According to the company, by concentrating the development of all future screens and feeders, both stationary and mobile (former Sandvik, Extec and Fintec ranges), to a single location Sandvik will gain the critical mass that it believes is required to develop industry-leading screens and feeders and thus increase its market share in this sector.

The Ballygawley facility has been chosen to host the product development centre because of the concentration of highly skilled and experienced screens and feeder design engineers located in the region.
