Germany/US-based Sauer-Danfoss added a larger, general-purpose micro-controller, the MC088-015-00000, to its Plus+1 product line late last year. The controller has 42 inputs, 32 outputs, and two CAN 2.0B ports, expanding the line beyond the previously largest 50-pin model.

New features include four inputs that accept signals in the 4 to 20 mA range, such as from pressure and temperature sensors; six 6 A digital outputs for directly controlling high-power devices, such as starter solenoids; and 4MB of fl ash memory for logging operating data.

The micro-controller includes a regulated 5 V DC power supply for connected sensor circuits, two programmable LEDs for diagnostics, Deutsch connectors, and a 9 to 36 V DC power input.

Also, Sauer-Danfoss has expanded its HI series of pumps, launching the 45/53 cc and 78 cc single models last November. All the HI family of closed-circuit, variable displacement, axial piston pumps have an integral electro-hydraulic servo piston to control rate and direction of hydraulic fl ow. The range of pumps, which now numbers four models, interface directly with the company's Plus+1 electronic machine control architecture.
