Sennebogen's sweet success

19 May 2009

Two tracked Sennebogen Green Line 830 R-HD machines have replaced two ageing cable cranes at Sugar Creek Scrap Inc's 23 acre full service scrap and recycling facility at West Terre Haute in Indiana, USA.

The machines are equipped with 1.4 m (4.7 ft) magnets and interchangeable four tine grapples, and are in operation loading and unloading eight hours a day. The tracked versions were selected because of the uneven work surfaces to be found on the site. Sennebogen's design approach of keeping it simple, with minimal onboard electronics, also proved attractive to Sugar Creek.
