Around 230 exhibitors will be attending this year's Showman's Show exhibition on 17-18 October at Newbury, UK.

Events rental companies will be presented with a range of ‘green' rental products at this year's Showman's Show in the UK.

This year for the first time the exhibition will include a Green Innovations Zone organised by the Green Festival Alliance (GFA). The GFA is a grouping of promoters and suppliers committed to adopting sustainable practices, including the organisers of the Glastonbury and Bestival festivals.

The ‘green' zone will feature suppliers who will present the latest sustainable products in power generation, toilets, consumables, waste management, structures, water provision and materials.

Chris Johnson of The Green Festival Alliance said; "If there was ever a time when climate, weather and sustainability were on the agenda in the events industry, it's now. All the suppliers in this new zone deliver professional solutions with massively reduced environmental impacts. This is the way the industry needs to go to keep up with the challenge we all face."

The annual event - taking place this year on 17-18 October at the usual Newbury Showground site - is one of the key party and event rental show in Europe, attracting more than 230 exhibitors.

Attending will be many of the world's largest temporary structure and marquee suppliers as well as temporary trackway rental companies.

Exhibitors will include Eve, ArcGen Hilta, Power Electrics, Röder, Portable Floormaker, Event LED Signs, Arcotherm & Climate Hire and Pontoon Works. Rental software companies MCS and Higher Concept Software are also exhibiting.

The show takes place after an unusually busy summer season for UK event rental companies, with many involved in supplying equipment for the London Olympics and the Queen's Jubilee celebrations that took place throughout the country.
