New York, USA-based Empire Crane has purchased a new Shuttlelift CD5520 industrial crane from Manitowoc.

The deal was made at the ConExpo show, which was held in March in Las Vegas. Luke Lonergan, Empire vice president, said, “We always buy the latest and greatest cranes for our customers,” he said. “With its 20 US ton capacity and 16.6 metre boom, we are confident that the CD5520 will sell very quickly.”

The Shuttlelift CD5520 replaces the CD5560B industrial crane. It has two jib options, including a 4.5 m boom extension or a telescoping 4.5 to 7.6 m swing away boom extension. It has an overall length of 7.7 m, a width of 2.3 m and a height of 2.4 m and is capable of carrying out indoor industrial work, the manufacturer said.

Luke Lonergan, said, “We look forward to the arrival of ConExpo every three years – it’s a great chance to connect with our customer base in the Northeast and to meet folks in the lifting industry from all around the world. We can’t think of a better time than ConExpo 2014 to celebrate the purchase of the innovative new Shuttlelift CD5520.”
