Manufacturer Signature Systems has introduced two industrial composite mats at The Rental Show 2016.

The MegaDeckHD is the new and improved version of the original MegaDeck. It is said to be a heavy-duty composite matting system that creates a stable, secure platform for personnel, vehicles and equipment in nearly any environment, terrain or soil condition.

This enhanced version incorporates a new proprietary manufacturing process and several new design features targeted at heavy-duty portable roadways and access requirements. The new matts are said to be 86% more rigid and boast 29% less deflection as well as 124% improved traction.

And Signature also launched SignaRoad, a new medium-duty composite matting system designed to create a sturdy portable roadway and jobsite access way quickly and easily, while protecting the environment and ground underneath.

SR has a smaller footprint (and lighter weight) than the larger MegaDeck HD, which Signature claimed allowed for lower transport costs, simpler handling and compatibility with 3m wide lanes found all over the world. The company said the SignaRoad product bridged the gap between light- and heavy-weight applications.

CEO Seth Gordon said, “The introduction of these two new products will completely disrupt the way composite matting is purchased now. Signature Systems Group is now the only company in the world with a full line of industrial matting solutions – offering a heavy-duty, medium-duty and light-duty system.”

The Rental Show 2016 will be the American Rental Association’s 60th annual convention and rental trade show, taking place from 21st to 24th February at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, US.
