Snorkel's new booms make European debut in Norway

Snorkel's Norwegian distributor, Knutsen Maskin, will be giving the company's new booms their first showing in Europe at the Vei og Anlegg 2012 exhibition running from 9 to 12 May.

This is the first time the Snorkel A62JRT articulated boom and the T46JRT telescopic boom lift have been shown anywhere outside of the USA.

Thor Nordahl, managing director of Knutsen Maskin, said, "Snorkel lifts have a reputation for reliability and durability; we already know they work very well in Norway. The new Snorkel machines are powerful, durable, intuitive to control and very easy to service or maintain. We are looking forward to sharing them with our customers at Vei og Anlegg."

The new Snorkel A62JRT is a self-propelled articulated boom, providing a maximum platform height of 19m (62ft) and will go into production later this year. The T46JRT is a self-propelled telescopic boom with a maximum platform height of 14m and outreach of up to 12.2m. The machine shown at Vei og Anlegg is the first production model built at Snorkel's UK factory. Designed for rough terrain applications, the A62JRT and T46JRT share a common chassis, helping to simplify service and repair work.

Snorkel appointed Knutsen Maskin as its official distributor for Norway in October 2010. Knutsen provides sales, spare parts and technical support for all Snorkel and UpRight lifts in Norway.

Organised by the Association of Norwegian Machinery Dealers, Vei og Anlegg is Norway's largest fair for construction machinery, with more than 45000 square metres of exhibitor space it takes place in Exporama Senteret in Hellerudsletta.
