Speakers confirmed for the CPA Conference 2024

The UK’s Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) has confirmed the speakers for its ninth annual CPA Conference.

The one-day event, which will focus on shaping the future of the rental sector, will see a number of panel discussions on how organisations can shape the future of the plant-hire sector.

Representatives from the likes of Prolectric, Soletanche Bachy, CITB, the Hire Exchange and Thomas Group have been confirmed by the CPA. 

Meanwhile, Brian Jones (CPA president), Chris Cassley (CPA policy manager) and Katie Kelleher (CPA technical and development officer) will also take part. 

The CPA said that innovation, decarbonisation, digitalisation, skills, business growth, succession planning and mental health will be discussed.

The panels, co-hosted hosted by former TV presenter Merryn Myatt and journalist Peter Haddock, are as follows:

Panel Session 1: The Plant-hire Sector in 2024 - Where the Industry Currently Sits in the Wider Economic and Political Context

Panel Session 2: The Innovative Plant-hire Company - Insights into Current and Future Developments and Innovations in the Sector

Panel Session 3: Expanding the Skills Base - Where do we Stand in the Battle for Skills, What Progress is Being Made in Attracting New People to the Industry - Especially Women?

Panel Session 4: Growing your Business - What Next? The Challenge of Growth and Succession Planning

Panel Session 5: Focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Construction Sector

The event, which takes place at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre near Coventry, will also feature a small exhibition, with MHM Group, Point of Rental Software and Rouse Services among those confirmed.
