Speedy Hire is to double its electric scissor lift fleet with a £4 million investment in Skyjack scissors.

The company is buying 19 ft SJIII 3219 and 26 ft SJIII 3226 scissors for its nationwide depot network.

Andy Connor, Speedy's supply chain director, said: "I'm delighted to announce another landmark investment for Speedy...Skyjack manufacture outstanding electrical scissor lifts which give users the optimum level of performance and safety.

"Our level of investment into rental equipment this year is a clear indicator that we are determined to fill supply gaps in the market and provide a market leading service to our customers." Speedy has recently invested £7 million in its power rental fleet.

Charlie Patterson of Skyjack said: "We're delighted that Speedy Services has decided to invest in the SJIII 3219 and SJIII 3226 as it shows a high level of trust in our products."
