Speedy Hire is aiming to employ the next generation of talent in the rental industry with the opening of a number of apprentice roles across the UK.

Through the scheme, in which it is working with 15 UK-based training providers, the company has made 14 roles available.

These include roles across a number of engineering disciplines, including lifting, powered access, electrical and general.

The company said successful applicants will join the”fast-paced environment of Speedy Hire” for the duration of the apprenticeship, which can range from 15 months to four years, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position upon completion.

The salary, which Speedy describes as “attractive for the industry”, will increase as the apprentices progress, with a “competitive salary” offered once fully qualified.

The company said the initiative comes as it notes the importance of bringing new talent into the industry to allow it to grow.

It said the scheme will enable it to offer “a breadth of career paths in multiple disciplines from engineering, finance, marketing, hire controllers, sales and operations.”

The move from Speedy comes months after it was awarded the ‘We invest in people apprentices’ gold accreditation’. The company said it has “an unwavering commitment to creating a workplace that fosters the growth and success of its apprentices.”
