The specialist rental division supplies equipment and managed services via a single point of contact centre for all National Rail Control Period 6 (CP6) projects in the country. The CP6, which runs from 2019 to 2024, totals £42 billion (€48.5 billion) worth of rail maintenance and renewal works.

While the value of the order and the number of units were not disclosed, according to Trime, Sunbelt invested the X-CHAIN model specifically because the units are in line with its sustainable rental equipment policy.

The X-CHAIN sets, which offer silent operation, provide emission-free lighting via four energy saving LED lamps. Capable of lighting an area of over 2,000m2, the floodlight towers can be connected to a standard mains electricity supply through an 110v transformer, with subsequent sets connected via a heavy-duty cable.

The X-CHAIN LED sets are equipped with stabilisers, retractable handles and forklift pockets. A standalone unit, the also include a telescopic stainless steel mast and Trime’s patented emergency mast brake system for improved safety.

Six of the X-CHAIN LED sets are already being used on a 24-hour trackside project in Totton, Southampton.
