Support builds for International Rental Conference in China

22 May 2013

The full programme for the first International Rental Conference in China has now been completed, with high-level participants from companies including United Rentals, Loxam, Hertz Equipment Rental Co (HERC), Volvo Rents and Snorkel.

United Rentals CEO Michael Kneeland will be the keynote speaker at the IRC conference on 14 October, 2013, with Loxam CEO Gérard Déprez also speaking.

The full programme, and booking details, can be found at www.khl.com/irc.

The event is attracting wide industry support, with Snorkel confirmed as Gold Sponsor for the event and Supporting Sponsorships from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), Haulotte, Off-Highway Research and the Construction Equipment Association (CEA).

The CEA will use the event to showcase UK-made construction equipment to Asia and China’s rental sector.

The conference is being organised by International Rental News magazine and its publisher KHL and is timed to take place the day before the BICES exhibition, one of the two major construction exhibitions in China.

The conference has the support of the Machinery Management & Rental Division of the China Construction Industry Association (CCIA). The division’s managing director, Mr Jia Li Cai, will open the conference.

In addition to Mr Kneeland and Mr Déprez, speakers include Jay Early (vice president, Europe/China for Hertz Equipment Rental Co), Bud Howard (global rental director at Volvo Rents) and Nick Sowden (President Snorkel Asia).

Chinese speakers include Mr Chai Zhao Yi, managing director of Shanghai Pangyuan Construction Equipment Rental, China’s largest rental company, and Mr Wang Li Chun, chairman of Xuzhou Gongli Road and Bridge Construction Machinery Co, a mid-size rental company based in Xuzhou.

IRC will be the highest profile rental event ever held in Asia and the first time that the CEO’s of the largest rental companies in North America and Europe have appeared together at a conference. It will act as a forum for the worldwide and Asian rental community, providing top-level advice on rental management and business trends.
