Terex AWP to open Russian parts center

11 February 2011

Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has announced it will open a parts distribution center next month in Moscow, Russia. The center will store more than 1,200 of the most-requested Genie parts.

The distribution center will be located near the Domodedovo airport and a main highway, which will make access to shipping and receiving easier, the company said. The center will serve Genie customers in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

"The addition of a parts distribution centre in Moscow reflects Terex AWP's ongoing commitment to provide responsive customer support and is an important component of the services we offer in the region. The new parts centre will provide savings on freight and speed up deliveries to our customers" said Howard Wilkinson, director of logistics and operations for EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia).
