Terex Demag has begun construction of a new logistics centre at its Zweibrücken, Germany factory. Work began last month and the centre is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.

Commenting on the investment, Terex chief operating officer Tome Riordan said, "With this new logistics centre we're taking a big step towards the future with our crane production operations in Zweibrücken. Our objective is to pick up the pace of all-terrain and crawler crane production as quickly as possible, in order to respond to the strong global demand for out products."

Terex Demag managing director Alexander Knecht added, "This sis an important measure that will help us to keep satisfying our customers' needs and to remain competitive on the international market."
