Recycling equipment manufacturer Terex Ecotec has introduced a new metal separator to its mobile product range.

Tony Devlin, business line director at Terex Ecotec, said: “The TMS 320 Metal Separator and demonstrates our continued investment in new product development. It will further enhance our product range meeting both market and customers’ needs.”

According to the manufacturer, the model can be set up in minutes without the need for tools. It features a push button control panel and a variable speed drum magnet and eddy current rotor manufactured by magnet technology specialist Eriez.

The TMS 320 has modular design that allows for each of the machine’s conveyors to be removed independently for easy maintenance and servicing.

The model’s splitter system can also be moved away from the eddy current unit, which in addition to providing greater access to both components, also enables the TMS 320 to be folded to a transport width of less than three metres.

Suitable for metal recovery from compost, biomass, incinerated bottom ash and waste, the TMS 320 is powered by an onboard genset and can also be powered using a mains electricity supply. Terex Ecotec said this enables greater application flexibility and allows users to benefit from lower operating costs and reduced fuel usage.
