Designed to handle a range of materials including commercial and industrial waste, wood and green waste, the medium-speed shredder can produce high-spec RDF (Refuse-derived fuel), SRF (solid recovered fuel / specified recovered fuel) and Biomass products.

Key features of the electric shredder include a double shaft shredder chamber developed by Vecoplan, an electric-powered independent hydrostatic drive and a product sizing screen, all of which are said enhance operational efficiency while minimising environmental impact.

Kenny Hull, Product & Commercial Manager of Terex Recycling Systems, said: “Terex Recycling Systems continues to grow from strength to strength.

“With the addition of the TDS-V20SE to our product range, we now offer the already proven shredding technology from our existing mobile portfolio with the added benefit of electric power.”

Suitable for waste management operations and recycling plants, the TDS-V20SE can be used as a standalone product or incorporated into new and existing recycling plants, and as either a primary or secondary shredder.

According to Terex, the shredder’s “intuitive controls and pre-installed programmes” make it extremely user friendly.

The screening system, available in various sizes, incorporates an intelligent protection system that allows operators to select their desired particle size while effectively handling foreign objects.

“This capability to produce a controlled product size in a single pass not only saves time, but also aids efficiency,” said the OEM.
