Terex Utilities presented a check for $5,000 to Susan G. Komen Great Plains, a regional nonprofit organization providing breast health education and services.

The company held a breast cancer awareness campaign in conjunction with the 2019 International Construction & Utility Equipment Expo (ICUEE) in October. During the show, the company collected attendee signatures on a banner next to a display of a pink bullet tooth auger (BTA) tool. For every signature collected, Terex communicated they would donate funds to Komen Great Plains.

Clint Weber, vice president and general manager of Terex Utilities, delivered the funds and the poster with signatures to Linda Eidem, regional development manager for Susan G. Komen Great Plains, at Terex Utilities’ headquarters in Watertown, SD. The contribution supports the local community in South Dakota.

“We appreciate the support of our customers and industry colleagues so that we are able to contribute to breast cancer education and research that have a local impact,” said Weber.

“Every week an estimated 15 people are diagnosed and two people die from breast cancer in South Dakota. Donations to Komen Great Plains help provide breast health education within the community and support programs and services to help uninsured and underinsured people access quality breast health and breast cancer care in the region,” said Eidem.
