Devon, UK-based Tool Care Hire has purchased 17 Kubota KX71-3 mini excavators from local dealer MST Group.

The independent hire company, which operates four depots in Exeter, Exmouth, Brixham and Okehampton, needed to expand its plant and machinery fleet due to increased demand.

Martin Phillips, owner and founder of Tool Care Hire, said: “As our business continues to grow, we realise that it’s important to invest in our fleet so that we can continue delivering the high level of service Tool Care Hire customers have come to expect. In an industry that’s all about build quality, turnaround time and reliability, dealing with MST and Kubota were the natural choice.”

Tool Care Hire purchased its KX71-3 mini excavators fitted with quick hitch attachments, buckets, beacon lights and hydraulic coupling.

For MST Group, the 17-unit deal represented the first purchase order since the launch of its new construction sales division.

Robin Wearn, construction specialist at MST, said: “We’re delighted with the response of this division so far and hope to continue to capitalise on increasing demand from the plant hire, house building and contracting sectors in Devon.”
