US manufacturer Trojan Battery Co., has named Emasa Equipment and Machinery S.A. as its master distributor in Chile.

Emasa is now responsible for overseeing the distribution and servicing of Trojan deep-cycle batteries in the country and surrounding region.

The appointment follows 15 years of Trojan and Emasa working together and forms part of Trojan’s plans to expand its presence in South America.

"By growing Trojan's distribution network in this region, we can readily meet the demands of customers in a variety of market segments which rely on deep-cycle battery products to operate electrical equipment," said Mat Segal, senior vice president of global business development for Trojan Battery. "Emasa operations throughout Chile will provide the high level of support our customers have come to expect from Trojan."

Emasa will supply and support Trojan's deep-cycle batteries used in aerial work platform, floor machine, renewable energy, marine, and golf and electric vehicle markets.
