Port handling company, Yüksan & Prolojistik, based in the Izmir region on the Turkish Aegean coast, has added a Sennebogen 835 R to the port to help with loading and unloading ships.

The Sennebogen 835 R is from the German manufacturer's E-series. It has a 224 kW drive and a 3 cubic metre double shell grab, making it suitable for unloading bulk goods. The model can handle up to four cycles a minute and up to 5,000 tonnes a day, the manufacturer said.

The 835 R has a 10.8 m boom and a 9.4 m gripper stick. It is fitted with a Maxicab, which can be elevated to 3 m. It is fitted with the Sennebogen control system SECON and has additions, including automatic idle stop.
