Maximus Crushing & Screening has introduced two new heavy duty tracked screens in the shape of the 17 tonne two deck 409 and the 38 tonne three deck 522T.

According to the company, the 409 has been developed to meet the needs of smaller customers who require versatility allied with ease of transport, while still providing high reliability. The 409 can be used in a variety of applications, including crushing circuits, demolition and construction waste processing, and aggregates, heavy rock and topsoil handling. Power comes from a Deutz 49 kW (66 hp) diesel, and the machine features a heavy duty two bearing screenbox measuring 2,75 x 1,24 m (9 x 4 ft), integrated hydraulically folding side conveyors and a heavy duty hopper.

Its larger sibling, the 522T, has been designed for medium to large scale customers that require high capacity and high specification aggregate screening capabilities. It offers top and middle screen decks measuring 6.7 x 1.52 m (22 x 5 ft) and a lower deck of 6.1 x 1.5 m (20 x 5 ft), and a hopper with a cpacity of 9.2 cubic metres (12 cubic yards). Power comes from a 96 kW (129 hp) cat diesel. In transport mode the new screen measures 18.8 m (61.7 ft) in length, 3 m (9.9 ft) in width and 3.5 m (11.5 ft) in height.
