Ayrshire, Scotland, based Lowmac Recycling is the first customer in the UK to take delivery of a compact long reach Terex-Fuchs MHL250E materials handler. Supplied by distributor Blue Fuchs, the machine is now being used for sorting and loading duties at the company’s Ayr facility.

The MHL205E, introduced at last year’s RWM show in the UK, is a 15 tonne class machine, with the unit supplied to Lowmac featuring four point hydraulic outriggers that allow a maximum load of 10 tonnes at its maximum reach of 9 m (29.5 ft) and a hydraulically elevating cab that gives the operator a maximum 5.2 m (17ft) raised line of sight for optimum load and site visibility during working cycles.

Commenting on his company’s new plant acquisition, Lowmac’s managing director Kenny Smith said: “This is proving to be a versatile machine for us and is performing very well on its sorting and loading tasks. It is nimble, quick and precise and the elevating cab is an excellent feature for safe operation, especially when loading high-sided trucks. As always, we have been extremely well served by both Blue Fuchs and Blue Machinery Scotland and, once again, our long association and past experience with the excellent Terex-Fuchs brand made the purchasing decision all the easier!”.
