Waterland Trading has become the official Unic mini crane dealer for the Netherlands and Belgium, and part of the growing Unic Cranes Europe network.

Established in 1991 by CEO Peter Bleyenberg, Waterland Trading started supplying telescopic cranes to the Netherlands market before setting up a second division in Belgium five years later.

The company has chosen a 2.9 tonne capacity Unic URW-295 model as the first mini spider crane to join its hire fleet. It will also be sending its staff to the Unic Cranes Europe head office in Long Crendon, UK to receive operator training.

Part of GGR Group Ltd, Unic Cranes Europe has an ever-increasing group of distributors across Europe and the Middle East. Waterland Trading, which has offices in Purmerend, Netherlands and Diest in Belgium, will now include Unic mini cranes alongside Tadano Faun mobile cranes.

"The Dutch and Belgian construction industry is active so we can see a lot of scope for our Unic mini cranes to be used in these markets, particularly for the infrastructure, construction and energy projects," said Unic Cranes Europe Graeme Riley, chief executive officer. "We're excited to have Waterland Trading, an established plant hire company with a great reputation, as a new addition to our Unic Cranes Europe dealer network."
