United Rentals expands specialty network

10 November 2016

United Rentals has expanded its specialty branch network by opening six new U.S. locations and one Canadian branch. The depots focus on trenching, power and HVAC and tool solutions. This brings United's total number of specialty openings in 2016 to 14.

"Our latest branch openings complete our plan for 14 new specialty locations in 2016, as part of our ongoing strategic expansion," said Paul McDonnell, senior vice president – specialty operations. "In addition to strong standalone demand, we are cross-selling specialty rentals to our large construction and industrial customers. Our specialty offerings represent some of our most important growth opportunities, and we’ll continue to invest accordingly.”

The branch openings include a trench safety location in Lansing, MI; power and HVAC depots in Charleston, SC, Cumming, GA and Freeport, TX; and tool solutions locations in Chesapeake, VA, Bakersfield, CA and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
