US construction company fined $6.5 million for bid rigging

A construction company has been ordered to pay a $6.5 million criminal fine after pleading guilty taking part in a conspiracy to rig bids for asphalt paving services contracts in the State of Michigan.

Pontiac-based Asphalt Specialists LLC pleaded guilty for its conduct on 30 January this year.
