French contractor Vinci reported consolidated revenues for the nine months to 30 September of €26.9 billion, up 6% on a comparable structure basis compared to the same period in 2010.

In contracting - the company's largest business division in terms of sales - revenues increased 6.6% year-on-year on a comparable structure basis to €22.9 billion. The figure was boosted by solid growth from the construction segment, where revenues increased 7.7% to €10.3 billion for the nine-month period.

Eurovia, the transport segment, also recorded growth, with revenues increasing 6% compared to the nine months ended 30 September, 2010, to €6.3 billion, while energy revenues were up 5.6% to €6.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Vinci's concessions business division reported revenues for the nine-month period of €4 billion, up 4.3% compared to 2010.

Overall, revenues generated in the company's domestic French market stood at €17.6 billion, up 8% year-on-year, while the contribution from international revenues increased by 3% to €9.7 billion.

"Despite the troubled economic climate, commercial activity was very vigorous, and group companies won a number of new domestic and international contracts," Vinci said. Its order book stood at €30 billion at the end of September, up 16% since 1 January this year.

Vinci said the positive nine-month results had reinforced its full-year revenue growth forecast of 7%.
