Wacker Neuson sees the future

German OEM Wacker Neuson has been improving perceived standards in terms of both operator and construction site safety. The company’s new Dual View wheeled dumpers – the DV60, DV90 and DV100 – come with maximum payloads between six to ten tonnes.

In the cab, the Dual View allows the operator to quickly change the seat position through a 180-degree rotation of the entire control panel and the seat console. This provides the operator with a complete view in the direction of travel – during transport, loading and dumping procedures.

Wacker says that this new implenetation allows the operator an unrestricted view, with the seat console and the control panel able to be rotated from the operator’s seat. The console unlocks simply and can then be turned to the desired viewing position.

Alexander Greschner, chief strategy officer of the Wacker Neuson Group, said, “With our new Dual View wheel dumpers, we have completely redefined the topic of safety in this segment. Together with customers from a variety of markets, we were able to develop a solution that is easy to handle and at the same time has a big effect”.

Other safety features onboard include a hydrostatic drive, a wear-free parking brake, as well as the ability to operate the machine via a joystick, guaranteeing that the operator always keeps a hand on the steering wheel. In addition to the canopy version, the Dual View models are also available with a cabin.

The new dumpers have also been developed with an articulated pendulum joint, making the machine more manoeuvrable and off-road capable than trucks. Wacker says that even under full load, the machine will always remain in contact with the ground, even in uneven terrain.
