Youngman's new anti-surf podiums
10 May 2011
Following discussions with a number of key clients about market driven issues surrounding safety, Youngman has launched a new "anti-surf" model of it podium products.
"Surfing" is the practice of pulling the podium along without first dismounting. The P1000-AS and P1500-AS models can only be moved once the user has dismounted the platform which has been achieved by replacing two of the caster wheels with sturdy rubber feet.
The new models have been introduced in response to several major buyers which reported that some users were compromising safety standards by leaving all four wheels in the unlocked position to enable them to surf. The P1000-AS and P1500-AS units, which offer working heights of 2.94m and 3.44m respectively, can both pass through a standard doorway prior to being quickly and simply unfolded into their working position.
