30 June deadline for World Demolition Awards entries

If you are thinking of entering for the World Demolition Awards 2021, now is the time to start putting your submission together.

Forms are  available on the World Demolition Summit (WDS) website, but with a 30 June deadline the clock is ticking for anyone with an eye on a shortlisting at the awards ceremony in Chicago, USA, later in the year.

The awards – a feature of the WDS since the first event in 2009 – recognise innovation and best practice in demolition and recycling, courtesy of an international judging panel with a combined total of more than 300 years’ experience.

Winners in 2020 included companies such as Veit & Company and Kiewit Infrastructure West from the USA, Canada’s Budget Demolition, McMahon Services and Delta Group of Australia, and Argentina-based Grupo Mitre.

As well as the individual awards (categories listed below), an overall “Best of the Best” World Demolition Award winner will be chosen by the judges, as was the case with South African contractor Jet Demolition last year.

There is also a “New Entrant” award, for companies entering for the first time or after an absence of at least three years, which was won by Demex of Australia last November.
