Silvasti Heavy Ltd, moved one of the largest ever special transports from Estonia to Finland.

The 136 tonne pressure vessel went by sea from Estonia to Hanko Port in Finland and then travelled more than 400 km by road. The cargo was 31 metres long, 6.0 m wide and 6.30 m tall. It was moved on a 15 axle modular trailer in a total combination weighing 206 tonnes.

Traffic signs en route had to be removed and several overhead obstacles were lifted, removed or moved. The transport had to move very slowly because of its dimensions and three escort cars were needed. Ground had to be filled and made up on some tight corners. On parts of the route the transport had to drive in the opposite direction to the traffic.

Silvasti arrived with the pressure vessel at Hanko port in south Finland on a Tuesday and it was delivered to the jobsite the following Friday.
