More than 270 delegates attended the first International Rental Conference, held in Beijing on 14 October 2013.

The 2nd International Rental Conference (IRC) in China will be held in Shanghai on 24 November, 2014 – the day before Bauma China – and will again feature top level speakers.

Already confirmed as speakers are:

  • Masaki Kurita, president of Nikken Corp, one of Japan’s largest rental companies;
  • Leigh Ainsworth, CEO of Coates Hire in Australia;
  • Zeng Guang’an, vice chairman and president of Liugong, one of China’s major construction equipment manufacturers.

Other speakers will be announced in the coming months. The conference will again provide delegates with a mix of high-quality rental management expertise along with presentations on the fast-developing Chinese equipment rental market.

The confirmation of the dates for the conference follows the success of the first IRC held on 14 October this year in Beijing, which attracted an audience of more than 270 delegates. (A photo gallery of the event can be found at www.khl.com/irc.)

The second IRC will take place at the Double Tree by Hilton, Pudong, Shanghai, on the day before the Bauma China exhibition, which also takes place in Pudong.

The conference is organised by International Rental News (IRN) and its publisher, KHL Group.

KHL managing director, James King, said; “The first IRC in Beijing was a fantastic event for Asia’s rental industry, providing a forum for the region’s rental entrepreneurs to network with their counterparts in Europe and the US.

“To attract the CEOs of the world’s biggest rental company and Europe’s biggest rental company is evidence that China’s rental market – and indeed the whole of the region - is being taken seriously.

“The second conference in Shanghai next year promises to be even stronger, with high quality speakers already confirmed and expectations of a wider international audience because of the event’s timing, the day before Bauma China.”
