The head of Ramirent’s Swedish business, Peter Dahlsten, left the company today “by mutual agreement”. His post will be taken on an interim basis by Ramirent’s president and CEO Magnus Rosén until a successor is appointed.

Ramirent would not comment on the reasons for Mr Dahlsten's departure after being contacted by IRN. Sweden is Ramirent’s largest market, representing 28% of total sales last year.

Mr Dahlsten has spent 26 years in the construction and rental business, starting in 1986 with NCC Construction and since 2002 with machinery division Altima, which was acquired by Ramirent in 2004.

Mr Rosén said Mr Dahlsten “was instrumental in the integration of Altima with Ramirent as its chief financial officer before finally landing in the position of senior vice president of Ramirent Group’s Sweden segment in 2009.

“I have respect for Peter’s contribution for the development of this industry and highly appreciate the value that Peter has delivered to our Swedish business. I wish him all the very best with his future endeavours".
