Germany's HKL Baumaschinen has opened its second depot in Austria, in Linz, just two months after establishing its first depot in the country.

The Linz location will be cover Austria's western provinces while the first location and Austrian headquarters in Wiener Neudorf will cover the east of the country, including Vienna.

HKL said it would follow its ‘maximum an hour away from customers' policy in Austria and planned to open branches in all provinces and metropolitan areas in the country.

The Linz depot provides 7300 m2 of space and will offer HKL's core construction equipment rental service as well as its ‘Mietshop' tool hire and ‘Baushop' equipment sales divisions.

HKL, based in Hamburg, Germany, operates 130 rental locations and has a fleet of 30000 machines.
