Versalift natural disaster response

Time Manufacturing Company has announced its Versalift Response programme in response to the devastating 2017 hurricane season in the US.

The manufacturer of bucket trucks, digger derricks and cable placers is using its North American distribution network to carry out the work under the initiative which began in September last year.

“Versalift employees have been aware of the need for quick response to natural disasters for a long time, as these events severely impact the industries in which the company’s customers work by doubling workload and increasing operational risk,” said a company spokesman.

After the destructive landfall of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Versalift began to make rental fleets, technician training and easy access to capital available to its customers that were mobilising to restore electric power in Florida, Texas, Louisiana and Puerto Rico.

More recently, the fires in central and southern California have presented electric power infrastructure challenges, as the network of overhead lines has been badly damaged there. The company’s fleet rental, tech training and capital programmes are all being upgraded to intensify recovery efforts in hard-hit areas.

These are happening through bucket truck manufacturing efficiency process improvements, the launch of online bucket truck training programmes and its rental and financing programs to ensure fleet is available and easily financed.
