Roger Verallo, managing director of UK company Euro Towers, was celebrating 20 years in business at the Executive Hire Show in February and was showing a new advanced guard rail system for its scaffold towers. He said the advanced guard rails were "tamper proof, they can't be removed while in use, which I think is unique - although I wouldn't swear to it."

The tamper proof AGRs cannot be removed without descending the tower and removing the platform first.

Euro Towers says that the design has been developed to allow quick easy assembly and provides collective fall protection before the operator accesses the platform. The guardrail units are for use in conjunction with our standard Euro Single and Double Width Towers.

Euro Towers has also launched an AGR Podium, which offers a working height of 3m on a 0.7 by 1.5m platform.

It is designed to be easy to assemble by a single person: unfold the unit, fit the board and braced guardrail frames and you are ready to begin work.
