Powerscreen has launched three new mobile screening products – two new Chieftains (the 1700 and 2100X) and the Horizon 5163.

The Chieftain 1700 is a Tier III compliant two and three deck model that provides up to six product separation. The new machine fits between the Chieftain 1400 and 2100, and has a setup time of less than 30 minutes. Four integral hydraulically folding stockpile conveyors fold and transport with the machine to avoid the need for additional lifting devices and full access walkways to three sides of the screen for easy maintenance and screen mesh changes. An adjustable high amplitude two bearing screen action can expose material to varying amplitudes and G forces, which helps to separate materials into the required specifications. The screen box has been designed to use meshes from the existing Powerscreen product range.

Greater capacity

The Chieftain 2100X is an upgraded Tier III version of the existing 2100 machine, available as a two and three deck, with a 14% larger screen area on the lower deck to provide a much greater capacity than the 2100.

As with the 1700, set up can be achieved in under 30 minutes, with a hydraulically folding oversize stockpile conveyor. It also features the adjustable high amplitude two bearing screen action found on the 1700, along with the same access walkways on three sides of the screen. Again, the screen box has been designed to use existing Powerscreen meshes.

The Horizon 5163 has been developed to meet the needs of customers who do not require the production capability of the larger Horizon 6203 (up to 800 tph). The 5163 has a maximum output of 600 tph, making it a more cost-effective purchase for smaller projects while still providing advantages offered by its larger sibling–such as being a good scalping unit as well as providing large production of high specification products for use in concrete and road building and paving.

The Horizon 5163 has four integral folding stockpile conveyors that provide flexibility and rapid set up as well as wide walkways that provide access to all sides of the screen for easy maintenance and screen changes.

The Horizon 5163 has the ability to vary the rate of flow of materials across the screen deck–more rapidly for higher tonnages or more slowly for increased screening action for materials that are harder to separate to give a cleaner end product.
