Divakar Construction & Builders has taken delivery of a Potain MCi 48 C tower crane.

The 2.5 tonne capacity crane is the first one to be brought to India and has already been put to work on a hospital in Mangalore, India. Work for the tower crane includes lifting steel, concrete, cement and rock.

The MCi 48 C can lift up to 1 tonne loads at the end of its maximum jib of 36 metres. It is compact, uses less electricity and can be easily transported and installed, the manufacturer said.

Divakar plans to invest in a 5 tonne capacity Potain MCi 85 A, a company spokesperson added.
