Moscow-based crane rental company Rentakran has supplied a Potain MD 265 B tower crane to construction company Renaissance, to help with the construction of the Evolution Tower in Russia.

The Evolution Tower is a €135 million (US$ 187 million) development project in Moscow City. The 53 storey building will offer retail and leisure facilities, offices and public function rooms.

The 12 tonne capacity MD 265 B top slewing tower crane has a maximum jib length of 65 metres, at which it can lift 2.85 tonnes, a company spokesperson said. Work for the tower crane includes lifting general construction material, scaffolding and façade materials that weigh up to 12 tonnes.

The MD 265 B is currently at a height of 280 m, and will remain on site until the end of 2014.
